The purpose of Vision-Aid Academy website is to ensure that all students with visual impairments have access to education.
Who are the primary users of the Vision-Aid Academy website?
Vision-Aid Academy website has been created keeping in mind students with visual impairments, and the need for them to have access to education. The right to Education is one of Vision-Aid’s primary goals so that students with visual impairments receive education and live with independence and dignity.
How are courses conducted?
Vision-Aid conducts classes in two different modes;
- Face-to-face sessions: wherein students come together in a class room, and a Teacher/Trainer is available to guide the student.
- Instructor-led online classes: wherein all students join classes via Zoom. To attend these online classes, a student needs a computer or a mobile device, Zoom software, and internet.
- Elearning: These courses are taken by students from the comfort of their home, and learn at their own pace and time. A student needs a computer or a mobile device and an internet connection.

How are the Vision-Aid Academy courses categorized for ease of access?
All courses fall into three categories:
a. Technical: that include courses like Python programming, Mobile Technology, Digital Accessibility Testing and Job coaching for banking and other exams
b. Skill Development: that include courses like Certificate course in computer applications, Spoken English, Corporate skills development, and more.
c. Vision Professionals: that include courses like Braille by sight, Certificate in computer applications, Listen with talkback, and more.
Is the Vision-Aid Academy website accessible?
Yes, the Vision-Aid Academy website is designed to be accessible.
Can I custom-set level of accessibility on the Vision-Aid Academy website?
Yes, the website also has a custom accessibility tool, wherein a student can set his/her own level of accessibility. To access the tool, click the Accessibility Panel button (icon) found on the top-right corner of the Vision-Aid Academy website.
Can I register for a course via the Vision-Aid Academy website?
Yes, a student can register into a course by clicking the “Enrol now” or “Click to Register” buttons.
Does the Vision-Aid Academy website provide details of all upcoming Course batches?
Yes, the Vision-Aid Academy website has a yearly calendar that provides details of all upcoming course batches. The Home Page has the courses listed for the current Quarter. Click the “Click here for all months” button to access all course batches for the given year.
Are there eLearning courses on the Vision-Aid Academy website?
Yes, there are a few eLearning courses on the Vision-Aid Academy website. ELearning courses can be accessed from the Main Menu.
- Students can access eLearning courses by clicking Courses > Students > ELearning Courses from the Main Menu.
- Trainers can access eLearning courses by clicking Courses > Trainer > ELearning Courses from the Main Menu.
As a student, do I need to create an account to access courses?
No, as a student, it is not required at the moment. We will publish the need to create an account when we had features that are related to an account.
As a trainer, do I need to create an account to access courses?
Yes, as a trainer you need to create an account. This will provide you specific access into the courses you are being trained.
Are there videos and webinars available for future access?
Yes, to access the Webinars, click on Resources > Webinars. To access past videos, click on Resources > Videos.
How do I access the Home Page?
There are two ways to reach the home page.
a. Type the Vision-Aid Academy website address
b. Within the Vision-Aid Academy website, click the Vision-Aid Academy banner.

Does Vision-Aid have a privacy policy?
Yes, the privacy policy is available at the bottom of the page. Click on “Privacy Policy” to access the policy.
Does Vision-Aid provide a certificate after completing the course?
Yes, Vision-Aid provides a certificate of completion after a student completes the course successfully.
How do I contact the Vision-Aid Academy helpdesk?
There are two ways to get in touch with Vision-Aid Academy helpdesk:
a. On the website, from the Main Menu, click on Contact. This opens a form. Do fill in the form, and click the Submit button.
b. As a student, you will be given your Trainer’s contact number with who you can get in touch with for all queries.
